MVCC Ministry Statements & History
The Birth of Mountain View Community Church
In April 1994, while serving under Rev. Dr. Timothy Winters at the Bay View Baptist Church in San Diego, Pastor Wells responded to the Lord's prompting and moved his family to the Murrieta/Temecula Valley. In July 1994, he began a Home Bible Study with just two other families, a total of seven people. By September 1994, that group had grown to over 25 people. In January 1995, Mountain View Community Church was officially organized and Pastor Wells was installed as the founding Pastor with a membership of 60 charter members. Under Pastor Wells leadership God has blessed Mountain View to grow to well over 1500 members. Truly Pastor Wells is leading God's people to be on God's agenda. MVCC opened the Mountain View Christian School in May 2000.

Ministry Purpose Statement
The Mountain View Community Church exists to reach the world with the Gospel of Jesus Christ by developing disciples who:
Know Him Personally,Grow in Him Purposefully, and Serve(Go) Him Passionately
Strategic Ministry Plan
We believe that fully devoted disciples of Christ are best developed in small groups. Therefore, our strategy is to become a church of small groups.
Strategic Ministry Practices
In order to build a Life Changing community we purposefully and intentionally demonish barriers of Color, Class and Conflict within our church community and out, as well as throughout our global community.
In every small group Consecration must take place: Making prayer our priority and the means by which we dedicate ourselves to God's Kingdom purposes and plans. Our primary place of consecration is in small groups.
In every small group Community must take place: Celebrating our diversity by focusing on Unity; Loving together, Growing Together and Serving Together in order to advance the kingdom of God.
In every small group Connection must take place: Getting connected with one another intentionally and purposefully by building relationships to facilitate ministry and maturity. Our primary place of connecting is in small groups.
In every small group Commitment must take place: Committed to being faithful to the called and our calling. Our first place of commitment is to small groups.
Strategic Ministry Message
MVCC is a Place for Everybody...
