What Mountain View Church has been called to become:

Our church Vision Message is… To be a biblically based church that loves God completely and loves our neighbors as ourselves with a passion to bring them, build them up and send them out again.

Our church Vision Mantra is: Be a church that's necessary

What we do & how we do what we do is best defined by WHY we do it. Why we do what we do is so we can "Be a Church that's Necessary."

What does this actually mean?

This means that we want to Think differently, See differently and Act differently so that we make such a Positive IMPACT on our community that if we ceased to exist it would have a Negative IMPACT. We want to impact the lives of those inside and outside our church for time and eternity. This is what we have been called to do and essentially what Jesus is saying when he says that we are to be Salt & Light. He tells us to let our let so shine so that men might see our good works and glorify the father which is in heaven. That's IMPACT.

Our purpose for being & what we have been called to do as a “Necessary” church.

Our Church Mission is… to reach to world with the gospel of Jesus Christ (Great Commission Matt 28:19,20) by developing fully devoted Disciples of Christ (Great Commandment Matt 22:37,38) who KNOW Him Personally grow in Him Purposefully and Go-serve Him Passionately.

Core Values: Define those uncompromising principles that guide our church's behavior. and speak to the impact we want to make. Eph 2:10

Our CORE Values reveal the focused intensity we practice, over time, that’s empowered by God, this intensity builds momentum , make an I.M.P.A.C.T. making us a church that's necessary.

Our Core Values follow the acronym I.M.P.A.C.T.

I - Intensified Focus (Phil 3:12-13)

We want out church to make a Positive IMPACT on our internal and external community. This requires intensified focus.

M - Ministry Momentum

When we do the work of ministry Christ has mandated by loving God with all of our hearts, soul & mind & others locally, nationally and globally, and by sharing Christ with others and making disciples of all those God gives us. We gain momentum toward impact

P - Powerful Prayer

Prayer is our Power and therefore our Priority. We wont just talk about it, we'll do it, whenever & wherever possible.

A - Action

We will take action. Action leads to impact. We want to be a church that has our eyes wide open to the need around us. We want to rid ourselves of Apathy and take Action: Faith is belief + action.

C - Community

Caring Community - We want to do life together in Community.  Internally & Externally... Faithfully serving, encouraging, admonishing, caring and correcting one another; as the occasion requires.

Creative Community - we value and embrace the artistic and creative vessels God uses to express his message of redemptive love. We want to rediscover and recognize their place in Christian culture.

Conciliating Community we biblically and actively perform our ministry of reconciliation with grace, truth and love for the purpose of restoration.

T - Teaching the Bible for life transformation

We value teaching the Word of God. It will be at the heart of what do and a distinctive practice of our church body. We will apply ourselves to the consistent and continual study of Scripture so that we might become FDDOC and we will support the preaching and teaching of God's Word for life transformation.
